Know your pay

Agree the rate before you start

Say the number out loud and, if you can, get it in a text. A clear agreement is the thing you measure against.

Keep your own count of hours

Write the start and end time each day. Your record counts even if theirs is missing.

Being paid late is still being shorted

“I’ll bring it tomorrow” is a flag. Log it as unpaid until the money is actually in your hand.

A floor exists

Effective pay below $7.25/hr is below the federal minimum wage floor — Fair Day flags it for you.

Cash work still counts

Being paid in cash does not erase what you are owed. Your log is your receipt.
